MISSION STATEMENT:
Our commitment is to be a bridge to a healthy and successful future for the children and families of the Bellflower Unified School District.

Caring Connections is a non-profit organization that was created in 1992 as a Healthy Start collaborative to meet the needs of the children and families of the Bellflower Unified School District. The collaborative organization consists of more than 50 local agencies dedicated to helping children and families in the community by:

  • Improving student achievement and attendance in school
  • Increasing awareness of available community resources
  • Providing families with connections to community resources
  • Connecting individuals to high-quality programs and services offered by collaborative partners

BUSD Family Support Staff work at school sites to ensure that families are aware of community resources and special services available through partnerships with local service providers. Services to families include access to health care, medical and dental services, mental health counseling, tutoring, transportation assistance, food, clothing, and more. By having the family support staff at school sites, Caring Connections is able to link families to services needed to ensure that children have the tools they need to be successful students!

Caring Connections is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to serving the needs of children and families of the Bellflower Unified School District.
